After a disappointing run with the bat in the recently concluded Women's Big Bash League (WBBL), Grace Harris was back to her best in the Katherine Raymont Shield scoring match-winning centuries for Western Suburbs in the semi-final and the final of the Queensland's premier T20 competition.

In the semi-final that happened on Saturday (December 19) against Beth Mooney’s Sandgate-Redcliffe, Harris opened the batting with Annie Wickman and smashed 144 runs in just 64 balls. The duo added 212 runs for the first wicket.

She hit 11 fours and 12 mammoth sixes and helped her team get to 233/5 in the 20 overs. Despite Mooney's impressive century of 121 from 59 balls, the Sandgate-Redcliffe fell short by 28 runs.

The very next day, she continued her red-hot form against the Gold Coasts in the final scoring a belligerent 136 from 71 balls. Harris smashed 22 boundaries in the course of taking her team past 200 twice in two days.

Chasing a difficult total of 211, her fellow Brisbane Heat teammate Georgia Redmayne made a fighting half-century from 25 balls before getting out to Meagan Dixon.

After putting the team in a strong position with the bat, Harris got rid of Shelly Savage, Eliza Flynn and Melissa Mayers with the ball. She finished with three for nine in her four overs. The Coast's batting eventually fumbled to 9-112 in the 20 overs, with the Western Suburbs winning the final by 98 runs.

Earlier in the WBBL, Harris had made 246 runs at a strike rate of 95.71 and with the ball, the off-spinning allrounder had taken 13 wickets in 14 matches.
