England and Wales Cricket Board has announced the squad for the three-match T20I series against India. After left out of the ODI series, Dannielle Wyatt and Mady Villiers are back in the 14-member squad selected for the T20Is.

Seam bowler Kate Cross and opening batter Lauren Winfield-Hill are released to play in the ongoing regional T20 tournament - Charlotte Edwards Cup. Wyatt, who was not in great form during the New Zealand squad, was left out of the ODI series against India.

Ahead of the ODI series, England skipper Heather Knight had said that Wyatt had to get some game time in domestic cricket. "She’s a quality cricketer, and she’ll admit herself that she hasn’t quite cracked ODI cricket yet. She’s had a bit of a lean year, and she’ll be the first to admit that. We want her to find a little bit of form playing cricket back in the domestic competition."

Wyatt scored three consecutive half-centuries in the first leg of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy. In the CE Cup, too, she smashed a match-winning 45 off 33 balls against Central Sparks. Her consistent performances have enabled her selection in the T20Is against India.

Speaking about the selection, head coach Lisa Keightley said they had named a strong team for the T20I series. "We've played some good cricket across both the Test and the ODIs. It is 6-4 in the multi-format series, and it's a series we are pushing hard to win."

"We probably weren't quite at our best in the third ODI, so I would like us to hit the ground running in the first IT20 and be ruthless."
