White Ferns will be touring Sharjah for a multi-series of 3 ODI’ s & 4 T20’s against Pakistan, from October 31 under the leadership of the experienced Suzie Bates; while Pakistan regular, in-form skipper Sana Mir, has stepped down after the dismal performance of the team in the recent Women’s World Cup. In her place, Bismah Maroof has been crowned as the new skipper for the upcoming limited over’s matches, and it will be interesting to see her leadership capacity in the upcoming days.

After an attack on Sri Lanka men’s team in the past, there has been no cricket tournament in Pakistan till date, excluding the recent World XI matches organized by the ICC. There's a certain fear factor attached to playing matches in Pakistan; so, this abroad series is a good way to give the Pakistani team some much needed global exposure. Sharjah, UAE is an ideal place for the matches, as per the Pakistan cricket administrators and ICC, since the headquarters of the International Cricket Council is in Dubai. UAE is a great tourist place too, and a lot of foreign tourists love to travel there so, there would many spectators' presence.

Pakistan is one of the strongest Asian teams, with a solid bowling attack, and New Zealand is one of the best teams in the world currently; so, it will be a great contest. As per the previous record, Pakistan has never beaten the White Ferns in ODI’s.
