ICC Women's World T20 has come to final stage where India claimed a ravishing win over Australia in their last match on November 17. Smriti Mandhana's quickfire 83 and bowlers' set the stage of India's win.

Mandhana was not in a good form at the beginning of the series while captain Kaur's ton and veteran Mithali Raj's consistency guided India to win all their group league matches easily. When "unwell" Mithali Raj didn't play the last match; Mandhana successfully steered the innings.

Talking about the plan, Jemimah Rodrigues' shared, "I think we bowled really well. We stuck to our plans, what we decided. And I think more than sticking to the plans the execution was really amazing by the bowlers, and the fielding also proved it. So I think it was a really good one today."

While Australia captain Meg Lanning thought, "We found the field a lot. And we had too many dropped balls and we were playing big shots, which led to wickets. So India showed that it was a really good batting wicket if you played good cricket shots."

Moreover, "We just never got going. The power play, we didn't really get off to that flyer. And then myself, I kept hitting the ball to the fielder, and then played a big shot and got out. And I think that happened a fair bit throughout the innings. When you're chasing 170, you need to be scoring off as many balls as you can and building those big partnerships, which we weren't able to do."

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur's unbeaten 175 off 115 came against mighty Aussies which was India's one of the main reasons to reach the final of ICC Women's World Cup last year. Kaur's innings was one of those innings which can be remembered in the history of women's cricket. Jemimah said at times, "It was definitely discussed. In our meetings, it's always good to remember the good stuff we've done. And it plays an impact and motivates each other. So we have spoken about that.it was definitely discussed. In our meetings, it's always good to remember the good stuff we've done. And it plays an impact and motivates each other. So we have spoken about that."

On the other hand, Lanning shared, "We planned a fair bit for India. Obviously they've got some dangerous players. And Mandhana played extremely well today, as did Kaur. We had some plans coming in. But as a way, you've got to adjust as you go along with the conditions. It was very windy out there today, you have to adjust to that as well. She's an excellent player and when she gets going, definitely difficult to stop."

India hadn't been consistent with their fielding often dropping catches in the previous group games but today they performed extremely well. While talking about that, Rodrigues told, "Since the match we had not done such good fielding. We worked more on fielding. Some of us were hitting it and we took more catches, in fact, and we got used to the weather conditions. So I think so that played an impact."

Australia opener Alyssa Healy suffered a mild concussion after getting bumped to Megan Schutt while attempting a catch. She didn't come out to bat in their innings. Captaining Meg Lanning assured, "She's got a mild concussion. So obviously we'll treat that carefully and monitor that over the next few days. But hopefully, she's all right for us come semifinals time."

While talking about the key player Ellyse Perry playing her 100th T20I, Lanning explained, "She scored off a lot of balls that she faced. She hit the ball hard into the gap and got a lot of 2s. The key is, I guess, not to get too boundary focussed and try to do that every ball. And I thought she did that really well. Picked her spots and the balls to go after and was really composed about it. I think there's a bit we can learn from how she went about her innings because she looked very calm but at the same time being smart with how she went about it."

Jemimah Rodrigues said, "We're really looking forward to it and our team is doing pretty well. We take it one match at a time. We focus on the semifinals and then we focus on the final. I think our team is doing really well. We need to keep getting better. We cannot be satisfied with today's victory, because there are many ways we can still improve. We've done very well today but I believe that there's always room for improvement. Our team has done really well. We hope that we continue the same momentum and even win the World Cup."
