As the West Indies team prepares to face-off against South Africa in a home series featuring three ODIs- in which ICC Women's Championship points are up for grabs- and five Twenty-20 Internationals, here are five players you should watch:

Stafanie Taylor

The world's number one ranked Twenty-20 batter and number three ranked all-rounder, Taylor is a force to be reckoned with in the shortest format of the game. The skipper of the West Indies, Taylor is an explosive batter who can hit the ball far and take control of a game. With the ball as well, she can be relied upon to not only take key wickets but bowl economically too.

Hayley Matthews

Matthews, the West Indian opener, is an exciting young talent in the squad. Rising to fame after her exploits in the last Twenty-20 World Cup, Matthews has gone from strength to strength since, improving her game and participating in the Women's Big Bash League as well as the Kia Super League. A dangerous batter to bowl to, taking her wicket will be crucial for South Africa.

Deandra Dottin

Dottin is a player who needs a little introduction when it comes to power hitting. Her sheer strength enables her to hit the ball hard and far and on her day, she is unstoppable. Currently, she also holds the record for the fastest women's Twenty-20 century, which she scored in just 33 balls. Apart from her batting, the West Indies Women Twenty-20 Cricketer of the Year is a handy seam bowler as well.

Shakera Selman

The seamer has been recalled to the squad after missing out on the West Indies last tour due to injury. She will be bursting to be back in the West Indies shirt and make an impact on the game. It will be interesting to see her performance and how the team adjusts her in the squad following West Indies horror series against New Zealand.

Anisa Mohammed

One of West Indies more experienced squad members, Mohammed, who bowls right-arm off-break is of invaluable importance to the team. With a total of 252 wickets to her name in international cricket, Mohammed always poses a threat with the ball. With a seven-wicket haul best in ODI's and a Twenty-20 five-fer to her name, she can take wickets at critical moments to 'spin' the game on its' head and give her team the upper hand.
