The White Ferns were one of the first teams to compete at international level alongside Australia and England when they played their first test in 1935. They haven’t taken part in a test since 2004. With women’s cricket concentrating on white ball cricket, it may be some time before they compete in the longest format.
New Zealand is one of only three sides to compete every World Cup and has won the competition on one occasion in 2000. They have also been runners-up three times in 1993, 1997 and 2009.
Again, New Zealand has been runners-up in the World T20 twice.
