After the T20I series loss and an impressive bounce back in only ODI against Pakistan, Bangladesh is all set to play in the ICC World T20. The team which has started doing wonders since the Asia Cup; where they beat the six-time champions India twice (including final) and won the ICC Women's World T20 Qualifiers convincingly; will try to keep their momentum on for the World T20 also.

Strengths:

The team’s strength lies in their bowling attack. Their spinners Nahida Akhter, Fahima Khatun, Khadija Tul Kubra, Rumana Ahmed are all in a great form. Recently Khadija Tul Kubra's six-wicket haul helped Bangladesh to a comfortable win over Pakistan in the only ODI. They can put pressure on the opposition and restrict them to a low score.

Key Players:

There are few key players for Bangladesh. All-rounder Rumana Ahmed, right-arm off-break bowler Khadija Tul Kubra and Fargana Hoque will play important roles for the team.

Ahmed scored 79 runs in 4 matches and bagged 4 wickets. She will play a vital role in anchoring the innings till the end, as well as her leg breaks, can provide the breakthroughs to the team. Middle-order batter Fargana Hoque will also play a key role, as she has the ability to score big. She has scored 55 runs in 3 matches in the recently concluded Pakistan series.

Khadija Tul Kubra's bowling has troubled Pakistan batters in the only ODI; where she took six wickets. She has the ability to take wickets at the crucial moments.

Areas of concern:

The biggest concern of Bangladesh for this World T20 is their inconsistency in the batting line up. They have miserably failed to build any partnership in the recently concluded series. They need to be more consistent so that they can set a good total which the bowlers can defend as well as to chase them.

Performance over the Last Editions:

Bangladesh have not been able to make it past the group stages in the last two editions of the World T20 which they have played. Having played only 9 matches in the last two editions, they have managed to win only 2 matches so far. It will be interesting to see how they will cope up with this new condition and perform in this mega event.
