Captain of the reigning World T-20 Champions, Stafanie Taylor is set to stir up another storm when she returns to Western Storm for the third edition of Kia Super League.

Taylor joins an already star-studded side as Storm’s third international signing, after Rachel Priest and Smriti Mandhana. They will be joined by England players; skipper Heather Knight, Anya Shrubsole and Fran Wilson as the team looks to win the tournament for the second time.

After a stellar KSL debut season, in which she was both, the leading run scorer and leading wicket-taker, Taylor continued contributing to her side in the second edition, playing a pivotal role in helping her side lift the trophy.

Having made her debut in 2008, Taylor has represented her country in 84 T20Is and has amassed over 2500 runs at an average of 37. She has also played 111 ODIs and has made 4200 runs, at an average of 44.06.

Following the signing of her contract with the Storm, Taylor said,“What we achieved last year was very special and there was never really any doubt that I would come back to her Storm. We had a great group and I’m sure it will be the same this season. The supporters have been great over the last two years and hopefully, we can win again for them.”

The Western Storm Head Coach, Trevor Griffin has also expressed his delight over Taylor’s return to the side for 2018 saying,“When you talk about women’s cricket there aren’t any bigger names than Stafanie Taylor. She has performed time and again on the world stage and she has what it takes to win trophies. She can destroy an attack with her batting and her bowling will also be a more than the useful weapon for us. I’m really pleased with how the squad is shaping up again this year.”
