Southern Vipers announced a 15-member squad for the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Trophy on Friday (August 14). Vipers is will represent the South-Central region in the England and Wales Cricket Board's (ECB) new elite domestic competition.

Lauren Bell, tall fast bowler who impressed everyone during the Women’s Cricket Super League (WCSL) while playing for Southern Vipers finds a place in the squad. Georgia Adams, Tara Norris and Paige Scholfield, who were awarded regional retainers with the Southern Vipers, will form an important part of the 15-member squad.

Charlotte Edwards, Southern Vipers Head Coach, feels the squad that has been picked has a good mix of experience and youth.

“We have selected a strong and versatile 15-player squad to compete in this summer’s Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Trophy. We have players with lots of Kia Super League and county experience, combined with some of the brightest young talent in the country,” said Edwards.

“All the players and staff are thankful to the ECB for making this competition happen and we’re confident we have the squad to make it a successful campaign for the Southern Vipers.”
