Sonam Yadav and Juhi Pandey's three-wicket haul guide Uttar Pradesh to a comfortable win over Andhra by 18 runs in the BCCI U-19 T20 League.

Uttar Pradesh won the toss and chose to bat first. Openers Muskan Malik and Humaira Rais gave a flying start to the team, added 36 runs within 7 overs before Malik got out by E Padmaja. Humaira Rais was the second one who followed Muskan after scoring a 29-ball 25.

Pressure fell upon the middle order batters but they failed to build the innings. Falak Naz tried her best to score big but she could manage only 17 runs. B Anusha and captain E Padmaja scalped 3 wickets each, Saranya Gadwal picked up one; which restricted Uttar Pradesh's innings within 103 at the end of the 20 overs.

Chasing 104, Andhra didn't get the start which was required to. Opener G Sindhuja fell for 10. Another opener V Ramya Deepika soon followed her, scoring 5 off 4. A Sireesha became the third wicket to fall and they were reduced to 18/3 within the powerplay.

Sonam Yadav, Juhi Pandey and Rishka Yadav's fiery spells didn't allow Andhra batters to resurrect the innings. Captain E Padmaja top-scored 21 off 32, didn't get any support from other batters. Apart from Pushpa Latha and E Padmaja, no other batters were able to reach the double-digit and they were bowled out within 85. Sonam Yadav and Juhi Pandey bagged 3 wickets each; while Rishka Yadav took one for Uttar Pradesh.
