Muneeba Ali's fourth consecutive fifty-plus score went in vain as Sidra Amin's half-century helped PCB Dynamites beat PCB Challengers by three wickets in the National Triangular T20 Women's Cricket Championship at the National Stadium in Karachi on Tuesday (January 14).

Ali's run feast continued in the sixth match of the tournament as the right-hander's 76-ball 68, which included ten boundaries, powered Challengers to a total of 137 for 7 after opting to bat first.

Although no Challengers' batter could support the opener, the left-hander single-handedly took the side to a respectable total. For Dynamites, Diana Baig, Kainat Imtiaz, Sana Mir, and Masooma Jaffri all picked up one wicket each to keep things tight for Challengers.

In pursuit of 138, Dynamites suffered a big blow as Aimen Anwar dismissed captain Nahida Khan and Kainat Hafeez for a golden duck each. Omaima Sohail and Amin ensured stability and stitched a solid 72-run partnership before Fatima Sana set the cat amongst the pigeons. The medium-pacer got rid of both the set batters - Omaima (41) and Sidra (68) - to bring Challengers back into the game.

Aroob Shah then ran through the middle order, bagging the wickets of Iram Javed (9) and Kainat Imtiaz (8), to pile the pressure on Dynamites. However, as her younger teammates began to panic, the experienced Sana Mir (9*) maintained her calm and took Dynamites home with three balls to spare.

For Challengers, Anwar, Fatima and Aroob returned with two wickets each.

Brief scores: PCB Challengers 137/7 in 20 overs (Muneeba Ali 68) lost to PCB Dynamites 138/7 in 19.3 overs (Sidra Amin 68, Omaima Sohail 41; Aimen Anwar 2-23, Syeda Aroob Shah 2-25) by three wickets. PoM: Sidra Amin.
