Belagavi Panthers claimed a seven-wicket victory over Bijapur Bulls in the second Women’s Exhibition match at the SDNR Wadiyar Stadium on Wednesday.

Bijapur Bulls won the toss and elected to bat first. They could manage to score only 23 runs at the end of the Powerplay with the loss of 2 wickets. Left-arm spinner Sahana Pawar’s (3/18), along with her fellow bowlers’ brilliant spells restricted the Bulls within 65/8 in 15 overs. At that stage, Nikki Prasad came to her side’s rescue, scored a 25-ball 17* (2×4) and helped her team to score 84 for 9 in the allotted 20 overs.

While chasing, it was an easy job for Belagavi Panthers. They started really well. Opener Vrinda Dinesh shared an unbeaten partnership of 34 from 24 balls with Prathyusha C, who scored 20 with 3 fours. Belagavi Panthers chased down the target with ease and reached the target in the 17th over.
