Malaysia succumb to Thailand without a fight back

Thailand continued their winning streak by beating Malaysia by 87 runs. Put to bat first, Thailand scored 114 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Chaiwai was the leading run scorer by smashing 64 runs off 66 balls. However, Malaysia failed to fight back and was bowled out for a mere total of 27 runs with not a single player reaching to double figures. Thailand skipper Tippoch along with Laomi took 4 and 3 wickets each to wrap up the Malaysian innings and seal the game for their side.

A cake walk win for Hong Kong over Kuwait

Hong Kong won the toss chose to field first. KY Chan and M Yousaf with the bowling figures of 3/2, 3/0 respectively showed the Kuwait batters their way to the dressing room by restricting them for a mere total of 25. Priyada Murali of Kuwait was the lone batter who managed to reach double figures whereas 8 batters got out for a duck. Chasing 26 runs was a cake walk for Hong Kong who won the game by 9 wickets with Daswani scoring unbeaten 13 runs off 17 balls.

Nepal beat China by 5 runs

China won the toss and put Nepal to bat first. Shrestha scored 18 runs off 32 balls and was well supported by the entire team with small contributions to set a defendable total of 78 runs. Zhang Mei’s 33 runs off 39 balls was well supported by C Zhuo’s 18 off 61 balls and it helped China get very close to the total. However, SR Magar’s 3/19 helped Nepal defend the total and restricted China for a total of 72/6 thereby winning the game by 5 runs. This was the only competitive match of Day 6.

Brief Scores: Nepal 77/9 (Shreshtha 18, Wang Meng 2/13, Han Lili 2/14) beat China 72/6 (Zhang Mei 33, SR Magar 3/19) by 5 runs.
