WELLINGTON BLAZE vs OTAGO SPARKS: Inglis, Davidson-Richards star in Otago Sparks’ win over Wellington Blaze
Wellington Blaze won the toss and decided to bat first. But their decision wasn’t fruitful as they lost their opener, LR Doolan, very cheaply. Rachel Priest tried to steady the ship with the middle order but RM Burns and SL McDonald fell for 9 and 1 respectively.
Priest, along with JT McFadyen tried to resurrect the innings but fell for 59 off 57. Later on, TMM Newton came to her side’s rescue. She scored 63 off 56 with 10 fours and helped her team to put up 212 on board.
Chasing 213, Otago Sparks too lost both their openers within 25 runs. But PM Inglish and A Davidson-Richards played a steady knock of 142 runs and helped their team to an easy win. Inglish scored 115-ball 83 and A Davidson-Richards scored 85- ball 78 and Otago Sparks reached their target with 2.4 overs to spare.

Central Hinds 190/1 (N Dodd 94, F Davis 1/41) beat Northern Spirit 187/10 (L Mulivai 63, R Lili’i 2/25) by 9 wickets.
Auckland Hearts 206/6 (L Down 96, J Savage 2/39) beat Canterbury Magicians 205/7 (F Mackay 69, R Lili’i 2/25) by 4 wickets.
