The Prime Minister’s Cup will commence from December 26, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced on Sunday (November 29). According to reports on cricnepal.com, the board has sent a letter to the district cricket associations to select players for the tournament to be held at Lamahi Cricket Ground in Dang.



It has been reported that CAN will provide Nepali rupees 20,000 and a dozen balls to all teams for the selection and will continue the same if the team has already been selected. The association has also asked the teams to get approval from their respective local administrators for setting up the players’ camp during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nepal last played competitive cricket when they hosted the South Asian Games last year. As the ICC and ACC have not yet set dates for any tournament, the CAN is also unsure when they will have a national camp. And to keep the players busy and among the game, CAN has decided to go with the Prime Minister's Cup.
