Hayley Matthews alongside her new opening partner Deandra Dottin help Windies crush White Ferns in the last warm up game of the ICC Women's World T20 2018. The duo added an opening stand of 68 runs from 45 balls before the latter lost her wicket.

Windies won the match by 7 wickets with 11 balls to spare against the No. 2 ranked New Zealand side. Anisa Mohammed took 4 wickets for the defending champions.

Having won the toss, Windies decided to field first as Suzie Bates was accompanied by Anna Peterson at the top of the order, a surprise move considering the return of Sophie Devine in their setup. However, the move backfired yet again as they lost both their openers within the 4th over putting 18 on the board. Devine was joined by her captain Satterthwaite as the duo added 39 runs before the former lost her wicket. Maddy Green accelerated the innings at the end top scoring for her side with an unbeaten 35 off 26 that included 4 fours as New Zealand finished with 122/9 in their allotted 20 overs.

While chasing, Matthews and Dottin started the innings dealing in boundaries with the newly formed duo smashing 59 in their powerplay without losing a wicket. Dottin was the first wicket Windies lost as the fastest centurion in T20I got run out to Jensen on 35. Matthews reached her fifty from 37 balls with 8 fours and a six. Before she could score any further, Lea Tahuhu took the wicket of the Windies vice-captain. Windies skipper Stafanie Taylor then anchored the innings as Windies won the game by 7 wickets.
