Udeshika Prabodhani is a Sri Lankan all-rounder (mostly used as a bowler). She represents the side in both forms of the game and made her ODI debut in 2009 against Pakistan and broke through in the briefest format, just a few months later.
A capable batswoman, Sri Lanka is yet to utilize her talents to full measure. But if we look over her bowling figures, they are quite good. She has been a consistent bowler for the side, an added advantage playing Prabodhani is her useful left-arm seamers, a rare sight in the Women’s game. Her left arm pace bowling helps to create an angle which makes opposition difficult to bat. She has bagged over 50 wickets in her career and even though she is a talented player, she needs to play more matches to carve out breakthrough performances.
