Trisha Chetty recently played her 100th ODI for the Proteas, in a match against India in 2018, but she also has many more records to her name ever since her debut for South Africa. She is the only wicket-keeper to take more than 137 catches with the gloves in ODIs alone.
She rose up the ranks from county cricket for Kwa-Zulu Natal, and Gauteng Women till an international call-up. She impressed in the international arena, with her majestic opening partnership of 171 which is the highest in the history of WT20I.
She is one of the few cricketers for South Africa to score 3500+ runs in International matches, across all formats. But, a big blow came when she was suspended by Cricket South Africa for breaching the Code of conduct and was suspended till January 2017.
After this period, Trisha was again called up for the World Cup, but she averaged just below 25 in the tournament. This celebrated wicket-keeper is awaiting a full-fledged comeback across all the formats.
