Sushma Verma started her national-level career as a wicket-keeper batter and made her ODI debut on 24th November 2014 against South Africa and Test debut against the same country on 16th November 2014. She played her first T20 against Bangladesh on 5th April 2013.
She started her domestic career for the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association. Under her captaincy, the Himachal team were the runners-up at the U-19 All-India women’s tournament in 2011.
She is the only player from Himachal Pradesh to represent India in international cricket. Looking for better opportunities in domestic, she started playing for the Railways.
She was also a part of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017. After the World Cup, she joined the Himachal Police as DSP.
