Kristen Beams is an Australian leg spinner. She made her international debut when she was 30 and is amongst the late bloomers of the International cricket. Kristen tasted international cricket when she played her 1st T20 against Pakistan followed by her ODI debut against the same opposition. She has also played one test match in 2015 against England(Ashes).
Though her bowling skills are quite good but most of the times she remains “in and out” of the squad. But being a leg spinner she has an added advantage to make her cut in the playing 11, because we all know how leggies are ruling the World Cricket. Presently it has become a trend that one leg spinner is the necessary element for the team especially in the shorter form of the game. Hence Kristen beams is considered as the X factor for the Southern stars.Till date she has represented Southern stars in 45 + International wickets having 62 wickets by her name. At present, she is a regular member of the Southern stars. Known for her wicket taking abilities, she was roped by Melbourne stars to play in WBBL in 2016. Since then she has been a regular member of the team playing from past three seasons. She also represents Loughborourgh Lightning in Kia super league. Hope she continues her streak which will help her to excel in near future.
