Holly Huddleston is a New Zealand fast bowler. Huddleston was one of the late bloomers, having made her debut as a 25-year-old, but the experience of playing domestic cricket for a long time helped her hit the road in a fine manner. In a short career, Huddleston holds the record for the most number(3) of five-wicket hauls by a New Zealand bowler in One-Day Internationals (ODIs).
Huddleston was born in Transvaal South Africa and shifted to New Zealand. She started her cricket career with Northern Spirits before making a switch to Auckland Hearts in 2009-10.
Primarily a right-arm medium pacer, Huddleston is a handy lower-order batter as well and has played a few compelling knocks for her domestic side. A superb 2013/14 season led to her first call-up to the White Ferns squad and she represented New Zealand at the 2014 Women’s T20 WC in Bangladesh. Her domestic experience with an added advantage to bowl economically helped ger to gain a contract with Western Storm team in Kia Super League.
Though Huddleston is not as experienced as Lea Tahuhu is, but the duo form the core of the New Zealand bowling attack.
