Hazell is one of the senior players in the England squad who’s off-spin bowling propelled her to the top of the T20 bowling ranks, with an average of just under twenty and an economy rate of under six, it is clear about the value to the England side in the shortest form of the game. With the likes of Laura Marsh, Sophie Ecclestone and Alex Hartley, places in the spin bowling department are at a premium. Her last ODI appearance came in the 3 run victory over Australia in the 2017 ICC Women’s World Cup, a tournament that England won. She was also part of the England side that won the 2013 Ashes series.
At the county level, Hazell plays for Yorkshire and in the Kia Super League captains Lancashire Thunder having previously played for Yorkshire Diamonds in the first year of the competition. Hazell has also represented Melbourne Stars in the WBBL.
