Chandima Gunratne is one of the most experienced players of the team along with Sripali and Polgampola. She plays as an allrounder in the side and made her debut when she was 30. Possibly a late bloomer, she is yet to emerge as an impact player having debuted in ODIs in 2012 against the West Indies, marking her T20 debut just a few months later.
A good bowler, Gunratne is yet to convert slow starts in ODIs to useful scores. A cricketer in the twilight zone of her career, the experienced player would want to give it all to emerge victorious as she calls time on her career sometime in the distant future.
