Chamari Polgampola is amongst the most experienced players in the Sri Lankan team. Making her ODI debut in 2004 against India, it could be argued, if there’s a player who would shine with the great practice, then it’s Polgampola.
Still, the left-hander batter is an integral part of the side whenever the team is tasked to compete in ODIs. Being an all-rounder, she has always helped her team at crucial stages. Where T20s stand, having debuted in 2009 against Pakistan, her career has often been marked with moderately impressive performances.
Since 2009, she has only played a paltry 19 T20s.The last T20 she played in was in 2015 against Pakistan. If Sri Lanka is to produce handy exponents at the international level, they would need to hone the craft of useful talents such as Chamari Polgampola.
