Before Pakistan face-off against Australia, they will play Bangladesh in an away series.  Their away tour comprises of four Twenty-20 Internationals and one ODI. The matches will take place from 1st October to 8th October in Cox's Bazar.

The four Twenty-20's will be played on the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th of October. The reason for this series is to serve as preparation for the upcoming Twenty-20 World Cup in November, that will be played in the West Indies. It will give both teams an opportunity to identify the problem areas in their squad so that they can work in improving them. This will ensure that they put their best teams forward for the Twenty-20 World Cup.

The series should be a very interesting one considering the fact that Bangladesh defeated Pakistan in their last encounter and are the reigning Asia Cup champions. They did so after triumphing over six-time champions India not once, but twice. The battle should shape up to be highly entertaining and a fitting precursor to the high-quality matches that we can expect from the Twenty-20 World Cup.

Apart from the four Twenty-20's, the two teams will play against each other in a one-off ODI. This match will help Pakistan in particular as they play against Australia next in a home series. Their series with Australia features three ODI's with crucial ICC Women's Championship points up for grabs. The points play an important role in determining who will qualify for the Women's World Cup in 2021 in New Zealand, with the hosts ' earning automatic qualification.
