After the first match was washed out, England faced Bangladesh in their second match at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia; where they won the match convincingly.

For England, there were three new faces - Sophia Dunkley, Linsey Smith and Kirstie Gordon; who made their debut in the shortest format. Talking about that Gordon expressed, "it's really special. I didn't know if I was going to make my debut tonight. Nobody knew if we were going to get a game in. It's really special to make my debut and to pick up some wickets, as well."

"I did not expect to be out here. No, it's really special. The vibe around the country, the girls and the three newbies have been treated really, really well, so it's really great to be part of this team, and hopefully, we can achieve great things," Gordon said.

Whereas Bangladesh captain Salma Khatun handed over the first breakthrough to her team. "A fast wicket I feel is really good. I think it leads to three, two wickets. We fielded well with two catches and a close stumping, but I think two, three wickets, we could have put them under more pressure and the match I think actually finished closer than it looked."

"I think first match, West Indies, we batted very poorly. Second match today, I think we were a little bit better - I think the shot choice was not good, the batters are losing wickets cheaply," said Khatun.

Talking about England's batting, Gordon added, "We bat so deep in this team that the opener's job is to go out and go hard, sometimes it doesn't pay off, and Heather and Jonesy all bat so well, we were always confident that no matter who was at the crease, we'd get the job done."
