Wellington Blaze versus Otago Sparks:
Blaze bowled brilliantly in the first innings. They had the Sparks on the back foot early, having reduced them to 14-4. P. Inglis (45 off 53) and Lisa Griffith (40 off 40) then steadied the ship with their 91-run partnership. Amelia Kerr was then thrown the ball. She dismissed both set batters from consecutive deliveries, then mopped up E. Brown from the next one to claim a hat-trick. Sparks suffered a second collapse in the same innings. Consequently, they could only manage 113-7. Kerr and D. Doughty both took three wickets each.
Kerr than top-scored with an unbeaten 39-ball-46 to guide her team to an eight-wicket win. She was well supported by Rachel Priest, who scored a 31* off 34 balls. Suzie Bates took both of the Blaze wickets to fall but, she will be disappointed by her batting performances in the last two matches she played.

Northern Spirit versus Canterbury Magicians:
In the second match of the day, Canterbury defeated Spirit by nine wickets. Batting first, Spirit posted 104-5 on the board. C. Gurrey's 51 off 55 was the backbone of the innings, while Bernadine Bezuidenhout contributed with a valuable 34 off 37 balls. No other batter could fire and these two were the only ones to reach double-digits.
For Canterbury, Lea Tahuhu, Kate Ebrahim, Erin Birmingham, F. Mackay and Amy Satterthwaite all took a wicket each. Satterthwaite then led the chase too. Scoring a 48-ball-68. Mackay also scored a 32 off 42 balls to see her team over the finish line with just one wicket down. Canterbury won with nine wickets and five overs to spare.

Auckland Hearts versus Central Hinds:
The last match of the day saw Auckland Hearts triumph over Central Hinds by seven wickets. A. van Derventer scored a patient 24 off 42 balls, while M. Greig scored a rapid 39* off 29 balls to life Hinds total to 91-8. The two were the only batters to reach double-figures. Four of the batters were dismissed for ducks. B. Armstrong did most of the damage, finishing with figures of 3-18, while Holly Huddleston and R. McNeill took two wickets each.
Sara McGlashan then led the chase, hammering an unbeaten 62 off 39 deliveries. An 18 from T. Wilson and an 11 from Katie Perkins helped Auckland chase down the target in the 14th over. They won by seven wickets and had 27 balls to spare.
