Northern Spirit versus Auckland Hearts: 
In the first match of the day, Auckland Hearts beat Northern Spirit by eight wickets. The match saw plenty of runs being scored. Batting first, Northern Spirit posted 158-4 on the board. Their openers C. Gurrey (57 off 48) and Sam Curtis (60 off 49) put on an 88-run partnership. This partnership became the foundation for the rest of their teams' innings, enabling them to reach 158.
In reply, the Hearts openers put on the 105-run stand of their own. Anna Peterson (65 off 48) and T. Wilson (44 off 38) set up the chase for their side. Maddie Green and Sara McGlashan then finished the chase in the 19th over, with eight balls to spare.
Remarkably, though six wickets fell in the match, only one was taken by a bowler. The rest of the five were run outs.

Wellington Blaze versus Central Hinds: 
In the second match of the day, Wellington Blaze defeated Central Hinds by eight wickets. In the first innings, Hinds put 113-9 on the board. Most of their batters got starts but were unable to capitalize on them. Jess Watkin top-scored with a 15-ball-21, while Hannah Rowe (20) was the only other batter to score 20 runs.
D. Doughty stood out for Blaze with the ball. She claimed four wickets for just 13 runs. Rachel Priest then powered her team to an eight-wicket win. She scored a 41-ball-42, reaching the target with three overs to spare.

Canterbury Magicians versus Otago Sparks: 
The final match of the day was a low scoring affair. Canterbury restricted Otago to 103-9 in the first innings. Lisa Griffith top-scored for the Sparks with a 29 off 21 balls, while all other batters failed to reach 15 runs. Erin Birmingham did most of the damage, taking three wickets. Lea Tahuhu and F. Mackay chipped in with two wickets each as well.
Mackay then top-scored with the bat, in the chase, scoring a 56-ball-47. A 20 from Birmingham and an 18 from Amy Satterthwaite helped Canterbury reach the total with 16 balls to spare. They won by seven wickets.
