Sita Rana Magar’s unbeaten 82 and all-round bowling performance helped Nepal whitewash the hosts Qatar in the three-match T20I series on Thursday (November 18) with a 109-run win in the final game in Doha.

Opting to bat first, Nepal made a mammoth 164 for thanks to Rana Magar’s 72-ball knock. She hit seven boundaries during the innings and shared a 67-run partnership for the second wicket with Jyoti Pandey. They were aided by some aggressive batting by Dolly Bhatta and Sarita Magar as well. Bhatta made nine-ball 12, while Magar remained not out on 17 of 11 balls.  Nepal scored 42 runs in the last five overs on their way to a formidable total.

In reply, Qatar couldn’t do anything to avoid the 3-0 defeat as they lost Shrutiben Rana in the third delivery of the chase. Sabnam Rai bowled the wicket-keeper for a first ball duck. Although Aleena Khan and Aysha contributed with 19 and 13 respectively – the only two batters to reach the double figures, they were never in the contest.
