Australia A took a 2-0 lead in the ongoing three-match One-Day series against India A. Australia A, having restricted India A to 197/7, registered a convincing four-wicket win over their opponents.

India A won the toss and elected to bat first. Openers Punam Raut and Priya Punia added 33 runs before Punia got out in the 11th over. Borwankar soon joined them in the dugout as she fell for 3. Pressure fell upon the middle order batters to resurrect the innings, but they failed to do as Devika Vaidya was the next to join Punia and Borwankar in the pavilion.

Mona Meshram, along with captain Punam Raut built a steady 48-run partnership for the fifth-wicket. Raut scored a 99-ball 64 with 10 fours before getting dismissed of McGrath's delivery. No other batters were able to give support to Meshram. Along with her well made 71-ball 59, Preeti Bose scored 19 off 23 and the host finished their innings on 197/7 at the end of the 50 overs.

Molly Strano scalped 3 wickets, Tahlia McGrath picked up 2 while Piepa Cleary bagged 1 wicket for Australia A.

Chasing 198, Australia A got off to a good start as the openers Georgia Redmayne and Chloe Piparo added 36 runs within 6.1 overs before the latter got out after having scoring 9 off 24. Soon Redmayne too followed her. Tahlia McGrath and Heather Graham tried to steady the ship and added 73 runs for the fourth-wicket.

McGrath missed the half-century by 3 runs and got out after scoring a 45-ball 47. Graham anchored the innings till the end and remained unbeaten at 68 off 87. Along with her, Sammy-Jo Johnson scored 21 off 20 and the visitors won the match comfortably with 10.3 overs to spare.

Both the teams will play their last One-Day match on October 19 at the same ground.
