Australia captain Meg Lanning and West Indies opener Deandra Dottin have advanced in the latest T20I rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC)on Thursday (October 1) after the completion of Australia-New Zealand series.



Lanning, who was the second-best batter in the series with 71 runs in three matches, went one place up in the rankings to 5th position ahead of her teammate Alyssa Healy. Allrounder Ashleigh Gardner moved up to a career-best 18th rank as a batter after scoring 90 runs in just two innings in the series, also bagging the Player of the Series award.



Leg-spinner Georgia Wareham and left-arm spinner Sophie Molineux went up in the bowlers' rankings reaching 10th and 13th positions respectively for their performances with the ball. Similarly, Delissa Kimmince moved eight places up to the 22nd position.



Among the New Zealand cricketers, there were not too many changes in their positions barring Amy Satterthwaite who top-scored for them on her comeback after 18-month maternity leave. She took the 35th rank after scoring 69 runs in three innings.

Their skipper Sophie Devine moved up the bowlers' ranking to 26th positions after taking four wickets in three matches for the White Ferns. However, her best performance as a bowler in the ICC rankings (fifth) is still at a fair distance away.



For England, Amy Jones and Tammy Beaumont moved up the ladder after their crucial contributions with the bat in their 5-0 victory against West Indies. Jones moved four places up to 25th and Beaumont reached the 24th place in the latest rankings.



West Indies’ opener Dottin reached 15th position in the rankings moving five places up after her impressive batting performance in the series. She top-scored in the tournament making 185 runs in five matches including two half-centuries.



Meanwhile, her captain Stafanie Taylor too saw a four-place improvement in her ranking to reach 52nd position. She also moved up to joint-fourth among allrounders with 78 runs and five wickets in the series.



As per the latest rankings, the German batters Christina Gough (up 146 places to 69th) and Janet Ronalds (up 115 places to joint-82nd) saw a rise in their ranks up to 69th and 82nd position respectively after their 5-0 series victory against Austria.
