Canterbury Magicians defeated Central Hinds by 64 runs as the skipper Frankie Mackay scored 97 (61) with the help of 14 boundaries.

Mackay strongly expressed her thoughts about the dimensions of the boundaries in Women’s cricket. Currently as per the ICC rules, boundaries in the Women’s T-20 has to be between 50.29m to 59.43m as compared to men’s cricket where it stands between 59.43m to 82.29m.

She advocated for the longer boundaries by stating, "I'm still going to say it, I'd like to see the boundaries a little bit bigger. I think it takes an element out of the game having people able to come in and run twos. You don't see too much of that at the moment."

Mackay further stated that "You see a lot of ones and fours, which is exciting for the game, but if we're looking at really producing quality players I think we need them a wee bit bigger and it might make the bowlers a wee bit happier too."
