Pakistan claimed their first win over Ireland in the World T20; where captain Javeria Khan's unbeaten 74 off 52 thrashed Ireland. This win was much-needed for Pakistan as well as for Ireland, though Ireland could only manage to score 101/9.

After suffering two losses and then bouncing back as a team, Sundhu replied, "Yeah, we didn't perform too well in the previous matches, but today we had to do well because if we lost this match we couldn't qualify -- we would have to qualify for the T20 World Cup again. It was a crucial match for us to win, so we put all our efforts to win this match."

Talking about the dressing room, she shared, "Actually we're not pressurized. We were calm because we have plenty of good batters in our order. Our batters performed consistently throughout the tournament. Bismah made 50 in the last match against India. It was a good performance by our team. We were like confident on the batters so they could perform easily in this match."

Talking about Sana Mir's guidance, Sundhu shared, "She's been constantly guiding me not only in this tournament but previously in many tournaments also. Like if I feel confused or when I'm under pressure situation, she always comes to me and says - don't be too confused. You're the best. Like she always gives me the confidence -- I always feel very comfortable when she talks to me."

Whereas for Ireland, Gaby Lewis opened the innings with Clare Shillington. Talking about her batting order change to open, Delany told, "We changed our teams since Celeste Raack came in and we took an extra spinner and we left out Cecelia Joyce. We decided to put Gaby in the order; she got three, so not much of a change. She's quite an aggressive and attacking batter, so, she herself and Chills thought if they got us off to a flyer we would be in a good place."

Loosing to Pakistan is "frustrating", said Delany. "So incredibly frustrating, because if we were professional, I wonder what the score would've been out there today. To lose by 40 runs, again, that we genuinely believed we could win, it's very disappointing," she added.
