Yorkshire Diamonds defeated Surrey Stars by 9 wickets to register their just their second win of the tournament. In a horror match for the Stars, they collapsed to 66 all out! Facing off against the Diamonds in a crucial match, Stars-who had just gained some momentum following a disappointing start- were without their star internationals Sarah Taylor and Dane van Niekerk.

For the Stars, their key to victory had been their openers getting them off to a solid start. Unfortunately for them, Bryony Smith was dismissed for just one. A 31 run partnership followed between Lizelle Lee (13 off 23) and Marizanne Kapp (13 off 14), who were the only two players to reach double figures.

Things only got worse for the Stars from there with their in-form skipper, Natalie Sciver falling cheaply and then Sophie Dunkley's early dismissal, as well. At the halfway mark, Stars were at 42-5 and were eventually bundled out for 66 in the 17th over.

Beth Mooney did the bulk of the damage to the Stars line-up, claiming three wickets with Katie Levick and Delissa Kimmince bagging two each. Beth Mooney then stormed her team to a nine-wicket win in the 10th over, scoring 44* off 30 balls. Lauren Winfield was the only wicket to fall, Laura Marsh claiming it.

Diamonds' now rise above Southern Vipers' with 11 points to their name. Stars' retain their place on the ladder at number 3. Western Storm and Loughborough Lightning have both made their way to Finals Day while the remaining spot can be claimed by any of the four teams left.
