KSCA organizes Women's Exhibition Matches prior to KPL finals

After the successful first-ever women’s KPL exhibition match last year, Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) is going to organize two exhibitions matches this year. Powered by Lakshmi Vials Bank, the matches will be held in Mysore on the 4th and 5th September 2018. Both the matches will be played before the final match of Karbonn Smartphones Karnataka Premier League.



Four teams will participate this year. They are - Shivamogga Lions, Mysuru Warriors, Bijapur Bulls and Belagavi Panthers. Former India player turned coach Mamatha Maben and former India player Kalpana Venkatachar will coach all the teams. Other franchises too have shown their support for the tournament.



After India's immense success in the World Cup last year, Women's Cricket has come a long way. This tournament will surely help to promote new players and this is going to be a big platform for the state players' to showcase their talents. Along with the state players, international players like Veda Krishnamurthy, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Vanitha VR and Karuna Jain will also be the part of the game.

Preethi, Chandasi Krishnamurthy, Chahel Chopra, Shubhashree Krishna, Simren Henry, Shraddha, Nethravathy Gowda, Roshni Kirankumar, Krishika Reddy, Sneha Jagadish, Rakshitha Nayaka, Hemanjali Jagdale and Aishwarya Ganesh.

04/09/18 – 1st match - Shivamogga Lions vs Mysuru Warriors – 10:30 am at SDNR Wadiyar Stadium, Mysuru



05/09/18 – 2nd match - Bijapur Bulls vs Belagavi Panthers – 10:30 am at SDNR Wadiyar Stadium, Mysuru
