J&K senior women’s cricket team were made to halt at the airport for the whole night as Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) failed to provide the accommodation.
JKCA announced the squad on Monday after which the team left for Delhi in the evening. After that some girls were sent to Kolkata while some to Ahmedabad, but both the groups had to stay at the airport for the whole night before they reached Tripura this evening.
“Players went through plenty of trouble as it’s never easy to stay at an airport for night especially for girls,” a source in JKCA said to Kashmir Sports Watch.
The date for trials was set as 10th February, however, due to the situation and unruly weather in Jammu, the team was picked without any proper trial camp.
In the meantime, J&K is set to begin its campaign in the tournament from tomorrow.
