Day three of the Senior T20 Trophy saw six matches being played in the evening with Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Delhi, Goa, and Assam registering wins in Elite Groups. In the Plate Group match, Nagaland beat Jammu & Kashmir to register their third win in as many matches on Monday (April 18).
Andhra Pradesh vs MaharashtraDespite leg-spinner Maya Sonawane’s four-wicket haul and Tejal Hasabnis’ 39, it was Andhra Pradesh who got the better of Smriti Mandhan and Co. with Saranya Gadwal picking up a five-for at the Siechem Stadium in Pondicherry in the Elite Group A match.
Tamil Nadu vs JharkhandMD Thirushkamini’s 58 wasn’t enough for Tamil Nadu as Jharkhand got the better of them by eight wickets thanks to Mamta Kanojia’s unbeaten 48 and an all-round performance from Durga Murmu, who scored 17* after bowling four frugal overs for just 16.
Earlier, Thirushkamini was the only batter standing firm with Nidhi B and Niharika running through Tamil Nadu at the Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
Madhya Pradesh vs DelhiIndia international Priya Punia starred with a 36-ball 44 not out as she shared an unbroken stand of 72 with Tanisha Singh at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
