Jemimah Rodrigues jumps four places to secure No. 2 spot in ICC T20I Rankings

Jemimah Rodrigues has been elevated to the second position while Smriti Mandhana has also been lifted four places to reach the sixth position, after an impressive performance against the White Ferns despite the loss of the T20I series. Suzie Bates retained her top spot.



Mandhana was the highest run scorer with 180 runs in the 3 match series against New Zealand, including one half-century and a 86 runs knock in the last match in Hamilton. She has been declared No.1 ICC ODI batting rankings. Rodrigues scored 132 runs, she has been impressive throughout the series including the score of 72 runs.



India bowlers also saw an upsurge in their rankings after the series. From the 28th position the spinner, Radha Yadav jumped 18 spots to secure 10th position after taking 4 wickets against New Zealand, Deepti Sharma also gained five spots to 14th position.



For the White Ferns, Sophie Devine has moved three places to 8th position after scoring 153 runs in the series, and skipper Amy Satterthwaite was elevated to the 17th position. Among the bowlers, Lea Tahuhu improved her rankings to 11th position.



Deandra Dottin has been ranked No.1 batter in the ICC T20I all-rounders Rankings in the latest announcement on Tuesday. Dottin has been in spectacular form to help the Windes win 2-1 to Pakistan. Dottin scored 158 runs in the series moving up two places to third among batters. She also moved up two places to 29th among bowlers after her 3 wickets in the series.



Among the batters, Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof gained three slots to tie with Javeria Khan in 15th position. Sana Mir, after taking 3 wickets in the home series, improved by six places to take 28th position among T20I bowlers. She is top-ranked bowler in ICC ODI Rankings,



South Africa captain, Dane van Niekerk has moved up three slots to reach 12th among batters, 20th among the bowlers and 3rd in the all-rounders’ Rankings. Shabnim Ismail has up four places to seventh and Marizanne Kapp jumps seven places to 22th Bowling Ranking. For Sri Lanka, Shashikala Siriwardene has gained four places to reach 30th position.



Other notable improvements in the ICC T20I rankings are Esha Oza of United Arab Emirates (up 44 places to 46th) among batters and Chanida Sutthiruang (up 15 places to 38th) and Nattaya Boochatham (40th) of Thailand among bowlers.



In the T20I Team Rankings, New Zealand has positioned in 2nd place to overtake England. ICC T20I World Cup, 2018 champions Australia continues to be on the top while the Windies and India are fourth and fifth respectively.
