James Rosengarten appointed General Manager of Melbourne Renegades
James Rosengarten has been appointed as Melbourne Renegades' new General Manager, the club announced on Tuesday (May 25). He will commence his stint in the coming weeks.



Rosengarten previously served as general manager of strategy, government relations and legal and general counsel with the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, before which he held a senior role at Mazda as well. He is a qualified lawyer and also serves on the advisory board of the Global Institute of Sport.



"This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining the Melbourne Renegades,” Rosengarten said. “The Big Bash has firmly established itself in the Australian sporting calendar and I’m looking forward to helping our club continue to grow."

Speaking of the recruitment process, Nick Cummins, CEO of Cricket Victoria, showered praise on Rosengarten, saying his understanding of a wide range of subjects will hold him in good stead.



“The calibre of candidates we spoke to throughout this recruitment process was exceptionally high and a strong reflection of the esteem the Big Bash is held in,” Cummins stated.



“James comes from a legal background and his commercial acumen, strategic mindset and experience in growing markets throughout Melbourne’s west leave him well positioned for a successful tenure with the Renegades.”
