In their second warm-up match against South Africa, though Australia won the match; they have seen a mini-collapse in their batting. The team has never played in Guyana before, Australia captain Meg Lanning said, "It was nice to get used to the conditions and have a look at what we’ll be dealing with in the real games."

"We’ve got to make sure we’re adapting to what we come up against and there were some pretty challenging times there with the bat. So I think it was really good for us just to work out what we need to do for the game on Friday against Pakistan."

"I think it was really important that we (Lanning and Haynes) got going there, I think we picked our bowlers really nicely. Our batting line-up is really strong and even if we do lose early wickets we’ve got the people to come in and do the job," Lanning added.

Vice-captain Rachael Haynes has been in a great form for the last couple of months. She scored a 27-ball 29 not out in their second warm-up game. "I thought Rach did a really great job, she came in again and hit some really strong shots down the ground to her strengths, and showed it was possible to take the bowlers on and score boundaries," Lanning told.

Australia will start their campaign against Pakistan on November 9 at Providence Stadium, Guyana.
