ICC Women's World T20 tickets are up for sale

ICC has announced that the tickets for the Women's World T20 matches will begin from the 29th of October in all three host countries, while it is available online from 12 noon Eastern Caribbean Time since 27th August. This commencement of ticket sales begins just 10 weeks away from the commencement of the mega event in the Caribbean in November.



ICC in the Media release quoted that there are three varying pricing levels for each stage of the tournament.



The group stage matches can be viewed at 3 and 4-dollars per ticket, whereas the semifinals ticket will cost 7 dollars and the final is priced at 11-dollars which will be played in Antigua. A combined package for the semi-finals and the finals ticket is priced at only 15 dollars.



ICC in its media statement mentioned that the group stages matches which will be played at Guyana and Saint Lucia are priced at an affordable price so as to attract more people from all communities in the Caribbean to encourage and support the Women's game.



The Chief executive of ICC, Johnny Grave also remarked that community contribution and involvement is key for the 1st standalone tournament for the World T20 event to ever happen.



The hosts West Indies will have their home advantage, whereas the other 9 world top teams will battle for the title on the foreign soil. England, South Africa, Sri Lanka Bangladesh and West Indies are placed in Group A, whereas Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Ireland are in Group B. This is the sixth edition of the tournament. Australia has won the title thrice while England and West Indies have won one time each.
