The 42-ball 101* from Grace Harris and Jess Jonassen's three-wicket haul powered Brisbane Heat to their third win of the season at the Gabba after the Stars won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first, the Stars wanted to post a huge total. Unfortunately for them, they failed to do so as they lost their in-form opener Lizelle Lee in the second over for 1. Lee got dismissed by giving a catch to Short at mid-off. Their first boundary came in the third over when Ange Reakes hit Sammy-Jo Johnson back-to-back at deep backward point and deep point.

Reakes and Katie Mack tried to stable the partnership, added 47 runs before Grace Harris picked up Reakes in the 10th over. Kimmince took the mid-on catch and sent her in. Unlike others, they managed to put up 51 runs after the halfway mark. Batters had been struggling to find the gap as the bowlers' did a wonderful job by restricting them.

Erin Osborne followed shortly afterwards, the delivery from Sammy-Jo Johnson cleaned her up. Katie Mack tried to drive a ball from Jonassen but, managed to find the safe hands of Kimmince. Mignon du Preez tried to accelerate the innings by hitting boundaries and over the boundary to Grace Harris in the 16th over. Before she could do more, Johnson picked her up, with Luus taking a mid-wicket catch.

Jess Jonassen chipped in three wickets, Johnson bagged two while Harris and Barsby took 1 each for Brisbane Heat; which crumbled the Stars' line-up as they ended up scoring 132 after 20 overs.

While chasing, Brisbane Heat batters got off to a flying start. Grace Harris hit four back-to-back boundaries to Erin Osborne at third man, deep mid wicket, long on and deep point respectively. She continued to punish the bowlers by hitting plenty of boundaries and sixes. She chose to rewrite history with a 42-ball 101, including 13 fours and 6 sixes; which is now the fastest century of Women's Big Bash League.

Once Harris and Mooney got their eye in, it became difficult to get past their bat as they played strokes all around the ground. While Harris' quickfire ton has been in news, Mooney's steady 25-ball 28 helped their team to win the match convincingly 9.1 overs to spare.
