To get used to the conditions in Malaysia, the Australian team took on a Malaysian boy's team before facing off against Pakistan. In the match, young leg-spinner Georgia Wareham starred with her five-wicket haul. After the match, Wareham spoke to Cricket Australia.

About her stellar performance in the match, Wareham said, "It was really good getting back to One Day cricket. To get a few wickets under my belt is really good but, good to get the win." As for how Australia will be hoping to play in the series, Wareham talked about playing the "perfect game." "We're really looking forward to building on the past years'. Just getting back into the One Day stuff. And, putting together our perfect game. I think we played well in the last three games. It's about putting all three aspects together," she elaborated.

According to Wareham, adjusting to the conditions has been a bit tough for the side, "It's really hot and humid but, the deck's quite spinny. Spin friendly, I'd say." As for her role in the longer format of the game, Wareham commented, "For me, it's probably just being really attacking with the ball, really looking to spin the ball and create chances."

Wareham's is a new face in the squad, having debuted in the recently concluded series against New Zealand. Talking about how her experience with the squad so far, she said, "I think the experience has been really good so far. All the girls have been really welcoming. I've really enjoyed every part of it and I think it's only going to get better over the next few months" She said Elyse Villani's "been pretty good to hang around" in particular and has "taken her under her wing."

And while she may look calm and composed on the outside, Wareham's insides don't necessarily agree. "Yeah I look like that," says she, "but just really breathing and taking my time. Meg's (Lanning) been really good, helping me out in the middle. Just taking my time. Taking each ball as it comes."

Talking about the key things Australia will be looking to take from this tour, Wareham said, "I think it's going to be focusing about us and also just learning about Pakistan before we get to the World Cup." Wareham called the possibility of playing in the World Twenty-20 "a dream come true. To play for Australia, and in a World Cup would just be unreal. So, I guess if the opportunity comes, it'll be really good."
