Match Over
Bangladesh have beaten Scotland by 49 runs and join Ireland in the finals of the ICC World T20 Qualifiers! A splendid performance from the Tigress as they continue their winning run having won 10 out of their last 12 T20I games. Scotland meanwhile having been brilliant in the competition and will now face PNG for the 3rd place on the 14th.   The teams for the ICC World T20 are set! Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies will fight it out in the ICC World T20 from November 9-24 in the Carribean.
18th Over
Looks like Scotland want to finish playing their entire quota of 20 overs. Just delaying the inevitable.
16th Over
Bangladesh are in a hurry! Scotland have now lost 5 wickets scoring 6 runs in the last 18 balls.
15th Over
And the inevitable happens. Nahida Akter cleans up Kathryn Bryce for 21 and Bangladesh look inches away from joining Ireland in the finals.
14th Over
Sarah Bryce falls after another good score of 31 to Fahima Khatun followed by Glen who is trapped on leg by Rumana Ahmed. Kathryn Bryce needs to play a captain's innings for Scotland to stand a chance.
10th Over
The Bryce sisters are scoring pretty well in the last five overs having notched 26 runs. But they need a lot more. 86 is what the scoreboard reads at 8.6 per over. We are at the half-way mark and the most exciting last 10 overs are coming up.
6th Over
The Bryce sisters taking the charge now. Scotland are 18/1 at the end of the powerplay. This two need to stay and strike for Scotland to have a chance to qualify. A certain not impossible stuff.
4th Over
The experiment doesn't work for Scotland as Scholes edges one to keeper Shamima and Salma Khatun has her first wicket. The Bryce sisters to take it forward.
2nd Over
A new opening combination for Scotland. Sarah Bryce is joined by Rachel Scholes. Lorna Jack has been dropped down the order for her poor performances. A slow start from them as in the previous games, 3/0 after 2.
Innings Break
Bangladesh finishes with 125/6 on the board. A record chase is on the cards for the Wildcats. They will need 126 runs in 120 balls to book a place in the World T20. Chatterji was the pick of the bowlers for Scotland with 2 wickets while Nigar Sultana Joty scored an unbeaten 31.
18th Over
16 runs coming from the last three overs. Not an ideal thing from Bangladesh's point of view but Scotland will feel content that they haven't leaked a lot of runs.
15th Over
Fahima Khatun falls for the last ball of the 15th over. The 27 run partnership with Nigar Joty ends with an easy catch to wicket-keeper Sarah Bryce. Captain Kathryn Bryce takes her first wicket of the day.
13th Over
Fahima Khatun and Nigar Sultana Joty doing the rescue work for Bangladesh. 15 runs coming of the last three overs but more importantly, they haven't lost a single wicket.
10th Over
Bangladesh have now lost a wicket in every over after the powerplay was done. Fargana Hoque and Rumana Ahmed go for low scores. Rumana's form with the bat will concern the Asia Cup Champions. Chatterji has two wickets while Maqsood joins with a wicket to her name. The Wildcats are on fire.
8th Over
2 overs and 2 wickets. Both the openers are now back in the pavilion. A confusion with Rahman led Shamima lose her wicket with an easy run out while an outside edge to Chatterji and Sarah Bryce takes an easy catch of Rahman. Things are looking better for the Wildcats.
6th Over
Bangladesh have come all guns blazing. No errors at all and time for Bryce to start thinking. It's the end of the powerplay and both Shamima and Rahman are moving smoothly.
3rd Over
Rahman and Shamima Sultana give another brilliant start to Bangladesh. Shamima has been their running powerhouse ever since she made her return during the South Africa series.
Teams
Scotland: S Bryce (wk), Scholes, K Bryce (c), Glen, Jack, Chatterji, McGill, Willis, Aitken, Grant, Maqsood   Bangladesh: Rahman, Shamima (wk), Hoque, Nigar Joty, Ahmed, Islam, F Khatun, S Khatun (c), Alam, Akter, Ghosh

Bangladesh triumph over Scotland, to face Ireland in the finals

Having won the toss, Scotland elected to field first, sending in Bangladesh to bat. In a must-win match, where the winner qualified for the Twenty20 World Cup in November, Bangladesh emerged victorious, defeating Scotland by 49 runs in their chase of 125. Openers Shamima Sultana (22 off 16) and Ayesha Rahman (20 off 27) laid down a solid platform for Bangladesh with their 51-run partnership, to set them up to achieve a competitive total. However, after the wicket off Sultana fell, a mini-collapse ensued and Bangladesh found themselves at 58-3. From there, Nigar Sultana played the role of an anchor,…
