Eliza Doddridge is all set to play for Adelaide Strikers for the upcoming WBBL, which is scheduled to be played from December 1. Doddridge recently made her senior state debut and is currently in her second contracted season for SA Scorpion.

19-year old Eliza Doddridge scored a brilliant half-century against Queensland in their recent game. This is going to be her first Big Bash League and she is all excited for this.

"I'm really excited to just be involved and to be around the squad," Doddridge said. "I absolutely can’t wait to learn from people like Suzie (Bates) and Sophie (Devine) who I haven’t been able to spend much time with in the past."

Doddridge was in a shock when she got the offer. "I thought Max (head coach Andrea McCauley) was joking when she called me to offer me a contract - I just couldn’t believe it," she added.

The Adelaide Strikers will start their WBBL|04 campaign against the Brisbane Heat on Sunday 2 December at Junction Oval, Melbourne.
