Having taken the ball first, van Niekerk ripped through the opposition batting order, fininshing with figures of 3 for 5 in 3.5 overs to help dismiss them for 85.
Following that emphatic performance, she blasted a 43-ball 50 to headline a comfortable victory.
Van Niekerk is set to travel to Australia to join Sydney Sixers for the fifth edition of the Women’s Big Bash League. She will arrive in the country on Wednesday (October 24).
