Cricket offline, cricketers online: How Indian players are keeping themselves busy

After India’s nightmare loss at the hands of Australia in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 final earlier this month, the players definitely needed a break. However, the original schedule in place may not have given them too much time off with a Women's Senior One-Day Challenger Trophy scheduled at the end of the month and a four-team Women's T20 Challenge to be held after that. So it seemed, soon after their return to India, after a couple of days off, it would be back to business as usual for Harmanpreet Kaur and co. - training, upgrading their skills and making sure they were ready for any challenges coming their way. Not time to sit back yet!

Ironically, the team (and all cricketers around the country) have been given a much longer break than expected - an enforced sabbatical if you will. On March 14, the BCCI announced all cricketing activities to be suspended until further notice after the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak caused havoc in the country (and around the world). While it can be quite frustrating for a player to stay away from the game for an extended period,  the Indian stars have been finding ways to keep themselves busy and have made sure to keep their fans in the loop.

Women’s CricZone takes a sneak peak at some of their activities.
