A damage to the right shoulder rules out No. 1 ICC Women’s T20 All-Rounder Deandra Dottin from upcoming Ireland and England tours.

Britney Cooper has been summoned to fill the void created by Dottin's absence. Dottin will require corrective surgery on her shoulder which will keep her sidelined for upcoming months.

Britney Cooper was part of the West Indies Women during the ICC Women’s World T20 held in the Caribbean last November.

Interim Chairman of Selectors Robert Haynes said, “ Obviously it’s very unfortunate with Deandra having to do surgery. She is certainly a key player for us and we wish her a speedy recovery to come back and win matches for the West Indies. Britney has previous experience at the international level and we believe she will make a positive contribution.”

The West Indies will start their tour with a three-match T20I against Ireland in Dublin on May 26, 28, 29. They will continue the tour and will play England on June 6, 9 and 13 in three-match ODI series, followed by another three-match T20I on June 18, 21 and 25.

The West Indies are currently seventh in ICC Women's Championships with 11 points.
