Jude Coleman has been appointed as Assistant Coach of South Australian Scorpions and Adelaide Strikers in WBBL.

38-year old Coleman has played for 60 times for Queensland and has taken 84 wickets in WNCL games. She played her last game for Queensland in 2013 but she carried on playing in the Indoor Cricket and has led Australia between 2005 until 2017 and clinching 6 consecutive World Cup titles.

Recently she has been working as Queensland Cricket’s State Talent and Pathways Manager and earlier this year was an assistant coach with the Australian under 19 women’s team.

“I am very excited about the opportunity to work with the teams and can’t wait be a part of what will hopefully be a very successful season,” said Coleman, who will start her new role later next month.

SACA General Manager, High Performance Tim Nielsen said:

“We’re thrilled to have Jude joining us at SACA and we know she will have a lot to offer to our playing group.

“She’s had extensive experience playing State cricket and having someone join us from outside of South Australia is sure to bring a fresh perspective.”
