Sri Lanka have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming ODI series against India. The series is scheduled to be played from September 11, 2018. The three ODIs will be a part of the ICC Women’s Championship (2017-2020).

Currently, Sri Lanka are at the 8th position of the point table after having lost to West Indies and Pakistan by 3-0. This series is going to be very important for them as they haven't won a single match in the championship.

Chamari Athapaththu, who missed the Asia Cup in June due to dengue, is back in the squad and will lead the team in ODIs. Veteran all-rounder Udeshika Prabodhani, who last played in Asia Cup, retains her spot in the squad.

Wicketkeeper-batter Anushka Sanjeewani and T20 specialist Nilakshi De Silva, who both last played in Asia Cup, are also selected in the squad. Imalka Mendis, who last played ODI against Australia nearly two years ago and missed Asia Cup in June, has also selected for this series. Along with her, Sripali Weerakkody, who was not in the Asia Cup squad, has also been included in the team.

All-rounder Kavisha Dilhari, who made her debut against Pakistan this year, retains her spot. Dilani Manodara, Prasadani Weerakkody and Ama Kanchana who last played against Pakistan in March, have been selected in the team while Achini Kulasuriya, Yasoda Mendis, Inoshi Priyadharshani, Harshitha Madavi, Malsha Shehani, Oshadi Ranasinghe and wicketkeeper-batter Rebeca Vandort couldn’t make it to the squad.
